Hallo Leute,

in unserem Linux Audio Proof Of Concept Projekt geht es um Resultate. Was kann man konkret erreichen, wenn man nur mit erschwinglicher Hardware und ausschließlich mit freier Software Musik produziert? 

Heute präsentieren wir ein paar neue Resultate:

1.) einen Song, der weitgehend fertig ist und in Sachen Mix und Master noch den letzten Schliff bekommen soll:

2.) ein Demo für einen Song, der noch einige Extras bekommen soll und den wir richtig mit Band bei den Brandenburger Linux Infotagen richtig mit Band noch einmal aufnehmen wollen:

Die Songs stehen unter Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike Lizenz.

Und eine Reihe von Samples von Drums und Gitarren zur freien Verwendung nach GNU, die zusammen mit zusätzlichen Infos auf unser Downloadseite zu haben sind. Alles ist mit Ardour2 auf 64Studio aufgenommen und mit 64Studio, JAD1.0 und Ubuntu Studio 710 bearbeitet. 
Wir haben keinerlei proprietäre Software verwendet. Lediglich  einige Sekunden der etwa 2 Stunden verarbeitete Gitarrensounds sind mit einem Line6Pod aufgenommen -- alle anderen Gitarren sind mit freier Linux-Software wie den LADSPA-Plugins von Tim Goetze und Steve Harris als virtuellem Verstärker aufgenommen. Alle verwendeten Samples sind selbst aufgenommen und mit freien Soundeditoren bearbeitet. 


Kommentare und Verbesserungsvorschläge und auch Derivate sind hochwillkommen.

in our Linux Audio Proof Of Concept project we try to find out, what can really be achieved with free software only in the field of music making.
We use only some must-haves of  affordable hardware (mixers, mics) to have a situation similar to the typical Mac/Win homerecorder, that emulates outboard-equipment with VST etc.

Our computers run 64Studio, JAD1.0 (without wineasio) and UbuntuStudio. All apps are GNU, all samples are recorded by us and we had only one session with a line6 pod in witch we recorded only about 20 seconds of the material we present hereby:

Both are in a demo-status, the first (ashita) needs a final mix and mastering, the second(befall) will get a bassline and some more extras also and will be re-recorded with a band in a open demo-session at the Brandenburger Linux Infotage in Potsdam/Germ on November the first this year.
